NCSoft’s 2019 plans include new Lineage, Alon and Blade & Soul mobile titles

Korean publisher NCSoft has announced five new mobile games to drive growth in 2019. The Investor reports that the company’s lineup includes Lineage 2M, Aion 2, Blade & Soul 2, Blade & Soul M, and Blade & Soul S – based on three of the company’s existing MMORPG franchises.

Pokemon Go revenue in October is up 67 per cent year-over-year to $73 million

Niantic’s location-based augmented reality catch ‘em all Pokemon Go earned roughly $73 million worldwide in October 2018. Sensor Tower reports that this is a 67 per cent increase in revenue over the same period last year when the title earned $43.6 million globally.

Castle Clash charges past worldwide revenue of over $550 million

IGG’s 2013 strategy title Castle Clash has reached over $550 million revenue worldwide across Android and iOS. That’s thanks to a report by Sensor Tower, which reveals that Castle Clash experienced a four per cent growth year-over-year during this year’s third quarter.

Square Enix posts $33m loss in half-year result

Square Enix has reported a massive $33 million loss for the period ending September 30th. The substantial drop appears to stem from a restructuring effort at new studio Luminous Productions, which seems to have shifted focus to develop large, high-budget triple-A games.
